Banana Patch

The World Botanical Gardens has about 3 acres of bananas in a patch across the roadway from the Palm Avenue entrance. This patch consists of about 2,000 banana bushes, each of which produces about 100 bananas per year continuously.

Thus, the patch will provide about 600 bananas per day for our visitors. These bananas are primarily the medium-sized Apple Bananas, though cooking bananas, Williams bananas, Cuban Red bananas, and several other varieties are also available.
