Umauma Triple Tiered Falls
Visit World Botanical Gardens and experience Hawai`i's natural beauty at its best

World Botanical Gardens
is the home of Peace and Beauty. We are situated on 300 acres of former sugarcane fields on the Big Island, and include the spectacular triple tiered Umauma Falls, acclaimed as Hawaii's most beautiful waterfall.

The World Botanical Gardens have been under site development since April 6, 1995. However, a portion of the Garden was opened to public touring on July 4, 1995. We have been opened daily ever since.

The Gardens are located 16 miles north of Hilo, Hawaii, and consist of 300 acres of prime agricultural land abutting the Belt Highway on the east, and extending 1.5 miles up the slope of the extinct Mauna Kea volcano to the west. The northern border is the Umauma River which feeds the triple-tiered Umauma waterfalls with its cascading 300 foot drop.

Come view the spectacular triple-tier waterfall cascading nearly 300 feet through pristine tropical forest.

Soak in the beauty of our spectacular 360-degree vistas and sweeping ocean views.

Enjoy the peace and quiet among the trees as you walk the nature trail winding through the rain forest.

Stroll beside the 80-meter-long wall covered with hundreds of wild orchids and our colorful Rainbow Walk which includes 100 species of Bromeliads.

Mango trees, Guava, Papaya, Pineapple, Banana, Breadfruit and much, much more.
